Yuki wasn’t sure what to do. Kinjo… needed him right now, but what could he say? ‘We’ll get out of this together’? ‘I’m sure escape is just around the corner’? It was utter shallow hope in any fashion. Why should he have to reassure this protector turned tyrant?
The ginger’s despondency turned into anger funneled into a different direction, right towards this conversation. It seemed he couldn’t be quiet anymore, so he balled his fists and exclaimed.
“Y-yes Kinjo, yes. Of course you’re wrong!!”

Or: Yuki manages to keep his head on and talk some sense into Kinjo. Things turn out very differently.

PEAK FUCKING EFFECT. Must read for any DRA fan, I feel. It broke my FUCKING HEART at least 30 separate times while reading and nearly brought me to tears. Also gave me a better appreciation for all the characters, reading this enhanced the experience of canon DRA for me
