Okay, you know when I said "I wish I was there"? I DIDN'T MEAN THAT LITERALLY!!! There is QUITE a difference between seeing a Ghoul through a screen and seeing one IN REAL LIFE!! COME ON MAN!! Also, will someone PLEASE tell Fangface to knock that infernal smirk off his face before I do it myself? That'd be great, thanks.

    Summary

On his 88th birthday, Bilbo Baggins receives a gift without a sender, a gift which changes everything...

Bilbo has lived through the canonical Hobbit and quietly raises Frodo in Bag End, when something sends him back to the winter when his parents died. It seems he has been given a new chance at everything, but how long will his good luck last...?

Trigger Warning: Bilbo will remember uncomfortable things (character death, characted hurt, some scary situations).

Safety Net: No major character dies in his new life. If you see a character's name listed, that character will not die.

This story contains kisses and battle wounds, in no particular order. There is also background betting, card games, and pipe smoking, as well as direct transcripts from the movies (Jackson & Walsh & Boyens, 2012, 2013, 2014) and direct quotations from the book (Tolkien, 1937, 1951, 1995).

Here there be feelings - and songs.

    Enjoy. 💖

    Summary

It was simply another late summer day, and Harry Potter was receiving another punishment from the Dursleys. He never asked for their love, even though a small part of him may have wished they could allow to grow and show the fondness they did to each other to him as well. All Harry wanted was to be accepted, to feel that spark that burrowed so deep inside him to light.

This tale begins at the peak of that wishing, the peak of the Durlseys hate. A drastic change of story to overlap and intertwine LOTR.

Harry finds himself in another world, his body not the same but feeling more his own than it ever had. When faced with the choice will he ever return to his own world? When it comes down to it, he may have little choice in going back.

WARNING there are dark themes to this story.

    Summary

Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit with a taste for second breakfasts and a twinkle of mischief in his eye, led a double life. In the Shire, he was a respectable hobbit, content with pipeweed and afternoon naps. But whispers followed him beyond the rolling green hills.

He was Prince Took in the bustling taverns, a charming rogue with fantastical tales and pockets suspiciously lighter on coin. Back home, he was "Mad Baggins," a title earned for his unorthodox ways and penchant for disappearing acts that brought back souvenirs like troll teeth and elven daggers.

Yet, his most intriguing title surfaced far from the Shire. Campfires crackled with hushed tales of the Smiling Demon – a phantom swift, silent, and deadly. This legend, shrouded in mystery, painted Bilbo as a figure of vengeance, his smile a chilling mask before swift, merciless judgment.

The truth, however, was as elusive as smoke. Was he a monster lurking in the shadows? Or a guardian, a protector cloaked in secrecy? No one knew for sure. The Smiling Demon remained an enigma, a riddle wrapped in an unsettling grin. And perhaps, that very mystery was what made him most terrifying.
