Summary
Vex accidentally tells Percy that he doesn't understand her grief at losing a sibling -- forgetting that he does understand, all too well.
“I do have a talent for fucking things up,” Vex says. “Who knew that elven limberness would just make me better at putting my foot in my mouth?”
Percy sighs. “We both have our moments,” he says. “Just as we are both hot-headed at times, and stubborn as mules. Neither of us is innocent.”
Vex nods. “We have both done things we’re not proud of,” she says. “We are both haunted by mistakes we can’t take back and people we couldn’t save.”
“And we both do our best to live with that,” Percy says. “To live in spite of that. But not to forget.” -

Summary
Gilmore brings Vax to an imperial party as his date. The opportunity to ogle each other in fancy clothes is great, but some of the haughty elven guests are... less great.
he almost misses it. He’s distracted, trading cheek kisses with an emissary from Vasselheim, and hardly notices the way Vax’s back tenses under his hand. And Vax’s words are unfailingly polite, the model of respectability.
But that’s what catches him. It’s too polished, too proper – too perfect. And while Gilmore is of the opinion that everything Vax does is perfect, his roughness around the edges is one of his many charms. With a quick nod, Gilmore pulls away from the Vasselheim guest slightly faster than would be considered polite, turning to see who could be having such an effect on his partner.

Summary
Vax pokes his head through and smiles as his eyes fall on the familiar form of Gilmore, bent over a long table. He watches him silently for a moment, admiring the way his purple robes cling to the muscles of his back, the gold trim glinting in the candlelight. His long dark hair is tied back in a ponytail, golden chains twisting around the tie, and a large gold hoop hangs from one ear.
Vax never gets used to how beautiful he is, how assured in every movement. His robes swirl around him as he reaches for this jar or that bottle, a faint shimmering of magic hanging in the air. It almost feels like a dance, and Vax could watch it forever.
Or, Vax stops in to Gilmore's shop, hoping to spend some quality time together. Unfortunately, Gilmore is occupied with some delicate potion-making

“What if you taught me?” Jester says.
Beau blinks. “What?”
“You could teach me,” Jester says. “You have experience. You know how to… you know.”
Beau blinks more. “Are you propositioning me?”
Or, Jester wants experience, Beau has experience, it just makes sense. Girls helping girls, you know? It doesn't have to mean anything... right?
