Summary
The nature of armed forces had a funny way of splitting you off from what should be your equals, and that was something you just had to deal with. Not everyone is ready to be all buddy-buddy with rookies, and a rookie you certainly were at the time of your scouting.
Interactions with Ghost were kept short and sweet (only with a little less of the sweet) and you didn’t mind that. It kept things simple, it kept your relationship with him simple.

Summary
For a soldier who's been loyal to one group for so long, adapting to working with another can be difficult. Especially when one member seems to be a bit more difficult than others. Adapting to a team is one thing, but getting close, being labelled as apart of the family, and having it ripped from all of you in an instant- is a completely different situation.
