He was used to the abuse from Val, it came and went like the tides. It was familiar, he could twist it someway to make it feel like maybe it was comforting at times. But now, he had no clue what to expect and it scared the shit out of him. All he knows now is that he's living in a strange, unfamiliar place with a new boss who he had no clue how to read.

    Pride was full of casinos, underground gambling clubs, and any other honky-tonk joint where money was bet. But nothing compared to The Starlight. A multiple story building that had lights so bright they shone into the next ring. Music, laughter, alcohol, drugs, and money. The Starlight was where a demon became the next millionaire, but also where the unfortunate could find themselves stripped of everything. Including their soul.

    The Starlight was on one of the only territories that overlords were free to frequent, as long as everything was kept in order. Despite the open invitation, many overlords in fact, did not visit. But those who found pleasure in the simplicity of man were quick to flood. This is how Husker found himself in the unfortunate situation of playing a semi-important game of poker against Valentino.
