She was very lonely, and being taken in by Tony Stark of all people for being an apparently missing half-sister was not her ideal image of what her family might look like. She'd dreamed of this moment, of someone related to her finding her, wanting her and taking her out of the system, but she couldn't help but feel incredibly nervous about all of this. growing up around them was a bit intimidating, including all the money that Tony seemed to like showering her with gifts with. but she liked her new family, and they grew close over the years.
Going to the Academy was hard, not living with Tony anymore and not seeing Rhodey, Happy, or Pepper frequently made it even harder to leave, but she wanted to be an agent. She wanted to put her brains and her skills for fighting to good use in any way she could. Finding love was just an odd side effect of that.

In the end, he'll never know unless he tries, and even if things don't go well, even if Ozzie or Bee or the rest would very much prefer not to see him ever again, at the very least, they will know that he had tried.
Oh how little does the King of Hell know of the events that are about to unfold...
