Growing up, Izuku always held out hope that Katsuki would stop the bully and go back to being just Kacchan. The boy that was so sweet to Izuku. The boy that would always look back to make sure Izuku was still with him. The boy that always made sure Izuku was happy and included when they played with other kids. The boy that would never let other kids say mean things to Izuku.
Izuku realized that that boy, Kacchan, died. He just became Katsuki–the kid who bullied Izuku ruthlessly. Any hope Katsuki would change was slowly dying within Izuku. He was so tired of the bullying, along with Katsuki’s overall behavior.
As time went on, Katsuki and Izuku grew closer however. Closer than they ever thought

Post war and Izuku starts dating Ochako and realizes there's only one person he truly has feelings for.
