"Oh! Really, what's up?"
"Well, to be honest..." Cleo fidgeted with their dress (with the hand that wasn't currently supporting Apo). "I haven't been doing so good. Mentally. I figured I should talk to someone who- I don't know, has this figured out."
"And this one," She held Apo by the scruff of their dress, not unlike you would a cat. "-has been starving herself. So."
Upon closer inspection, yeah, neither of them looked so good. Cleo had heavy, dark bags under her eyes, and Apo...Apo just looked awful, barely conscious and pale in a way even a vampire shouldn't be.
Or: Shelby, Apo and Cleo sit down to have a conversation, unlike everyone else seems to be doing in this SMP.

Summary
Cleo takes a deep breath, stepping forward and placing her hand on Pearl’s waist.
When she meets her gaze, Cleo’s eyes are black.
“Pearl,” Cleo says, and their voice comes from down a long tunnel. “Look at me.”
All of the thoughts in Pearl’s mind, all the spinning, whirring, never ending fragments, they all stop. It’s a gentle thing, fading slowly into the background until all that is left is Cleo’s voice.
Look at me.
And oh, Pearl is looking. She’s never wanted to look at anything more in her life.

Pearl lets Cleo drink her blood. It has some emotional side effects that neither of them was quite expecting.
