Bookmarker's Notes
Post-Spyral fic, focusing on the aftermath. Dick's an outcast in his family (except for Damian) and not doing well, but he just accepts all of the poor treatment. And Bruce is coldly apathetic at best toward Dick's mistreatment. Things reach a head after his siblings pick up on a few odd moments, though. Tim finds Dick and Bruce arguing in Bruce's office and gets suspicious of Bruce's treatment of Dick, and Jason gets suspicious after Dick snaps about being "the family punching bag" when Jason oversteps and shoves Dick during an argument. Damian is perfect. Then Tim finds the files on the computer with all of Dick and Bruce's communications while Dick was away (all very telling), as well as the Cave footage of Bruce's fight/coercion against Dick to force him to go. Tim calls in Jason and Damian and Dick leaves. Several hard conversations with his brothers after that, with hesitant apologies for their behavior and trying to get Dick to acknowledge that Bruce abused him (after they realize that wasn't the only time Bruce had hit him).
Very emotional acceptance and beginning of healing for Dick, but clear that he has his brothers on his side now. And beautifully seeded throughout with Dick's memories of his trek through the desert with a baby he was supposed to deliver to Spyral to be killed, but whom he ultimately saved.

Bookmarker's Notes
Post-devastating catastrophe/attack from the Joker with countless dead and the city on fire, Jason's got the clown pinned down and is definitely killing him this time. Then Nightwing shows up and Jason's determined not to let his brother stop him... though his brother said he's not going to, and just stands there watching. Joker won't shut up with the personal taunts and psychological triggers for Red Hood, then says what he should have done to Jason back when he had him in that warehouse and Jason freezes. Dick's Angry/Protective-Brother-Mode fully activates and he decides to take matters into his own hands.

AN: "I just wanted to explore a couple of days in the life of the Batfam if it was Dick raising them and they had never joined the Justice League, and Dick was on planet and therefore went after Jason in Ethiopia etc."
___
A 19-year old Dick raising a 6-year old Tim and 6-month old Damian, while a very involved Jason (who considers Dick his primary familial protector as well) lives in Gotham working as the Red Hood. Very sweet and wholesome family dynamic between them all.> And they had everything they would ever need by orphan_account

Summary
All he heard was a quiet sigh before the man behind him spoke again, “Ok, I’m gonna get us out of here. Everyone stay calm. I’m a police officer, I’m trained for situations like this.”
The man behind him continued but Jason stopped listening after that sentence. He had recognized that voice. It was a voice he'd known for years. One that was also attached to a police officer that he’d been lightly stalking these past few months.
“Dick?”-
aka Jason has only been back in Gotham for a few weeks but, somehow, manages to end up in the back of a van tied to Dick Grayson.

Bookmarker's Notes
Canon Divergence/What-If. Jason's just back in Gotham and gets grabbed with a group of people by some of Two-Face's goons and tossed in van. And wouldn't you know it, the person he specifically is tied to is Dick. They work together to get free, Jason tries to be not-suspicious, Dick gets suspicious fairly quickly, then recognizes Jason's fighting style after they've knocked out their captors. Funny but intense angry-brother-tackle as Dick calls him out until Jason eventually relents and admits it's him. They slip away to a nearby safehouse and have their full reunion there. Bruce shows up concerned for Dick and ends up reuniting with Jason too. There go all his plans... Oh well.

Summary
Jason Todd was alive.
He was also bleeding out on Dick Grayson’s apartment floor. How 'Under the Red Hood' might have ended if Dick was at Bruce and Jason's final warehouse confrontation.
___
Dick dragged an unconscious Jason post-batarang injury back to his place to stitch him up, against his better judgment. Jason attacks him in a brief moment of consciousness, but Dick still fixes him up. Afterward there's an angry confrontation/conversation, where they talk about Dick not being at his funeral (and why that happened), Jason wanting to be avenged, what Dick did to the Joker, why Bruce won't and can't kill the Joker, why killing the Joker isn't the win Jason thinks it will be... Turns into Dick eventually comforting his brother (who allows it only because Dick tried to avenge him), and setting Bruce aside to reassure Jason that he loves him, and missed him when he was dead, and how he still wants to be Jason's brother, no matter how complicated the situation may be.Things end up okay between them, hinting at a better relationship going forward.
