Corvus snorted, lips spreading in a slow smile that transformed his face into something that made Soren’s stomach flip.

Summary
“It would seem we aren’t alone.” Ethari murmured.
Two familiar forms were entangled across the pond. From another angle they would have been obscured by a large shrub, but from where Ethari and Runaan stood, there was nothing to hide them from view. He recognized the bright teal shirt, the color preferred by the tracker, who very interestingly seemed quite preoccupied with the young knight.

Summary
“Highbloods. You just can’t help what you think about the rest of us, can you?”
The words rang in his ears as he left the pawn shop. Rain had started to patter down over Glandivalis Square, refilling the potholes and divots in the cobblestone road that had barely dried out from that morning, and further dampening Tarquin’s mood. His conversation with Rook had helped to calm his ire at Ashur, but now it was replaced with guilt at how he’d snapped at his friend.
His friend...
Was that even the right word?
___
Or, what happens when Tarquin and Ashur actually compete to see who can say sorry better.
