Literally the BEST /reader arcane fic i've read besides that other one I really liked. I'm nearly done with this one (I'm on chapter 20 in case I drop it for a bit) but it's very rare that I find a fic with a reader that I relate to. So a reader who is an artist and gets commissioned to make a portrait of the boys in form of a business venture but ends up turning to be something more? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP. I also love how at first it initially started as a Viktor/reader fic and then it slowly diverged into a Jayvik/reader fic. I found that both funny and charming mainly because the author writes the Jayvik interactions so well and so accurate to the show that it's impossible to think about only Viktor pursuing the reader without Jayce being in the know as well and Jayce yearning after the reader too was such a sweet element. I literally could go on and on about how much I love this fic, from the fact that there are accurate depictions of how painting would've worked in the time period which arcane is set in, which isn't necessarily modern but has enough of a modern vibe for me to put two and two together. AND ON TOP OF THAT, literally the other day I was thinking about artists being given a residency and good food and pay to have commissions done for high class people so those people would be able to show off their work and LO AND BEHOLD HERE COMES A FIC WITH EXACTLY THAT WOVEN INTO THE PLOT.

Summary

Revali is sent on a quest to find Link (but not without a lot of angry squawking about it). He travels the lengths of Hyrule with nothing to go on other than a full library of photos the hero had left in Zelda's sheikah plate. As he journeys though, the question of 'where is Link' slowly transforms to 'who is Link?' because this grinning boy in the pictures surely cannot be the same stoic brick wall they all once knew.
As extraordinarily talented as he is, he finds him all too fast and the questions only multiply from there.
