Cassie lay in uneasy slumber, the comfort of a dream masking the pain running through her; but like all good things, her slumber will inevitably end.

"He doesn't feel anything.
He feels nothing until something around him whirrs to life and a low voice begins speaking.
"Showtime already? I am experiencing a malfunction. The recharge cycle is not complete."
Gregory is frozen in a daze, unsure if this is some fucked up dream or not. The panic begins setting in less than a second into thinking about how he knows he just died, how it felt so real, and that the fear and sheer terror were too strong to be in his head.
Then, the small hatch around him begins to feel even smaller, and the safe nook his head is nestled in reminds him all too vividly of an orange beak and white solid block teeth.
Gregory screams."
