"“Don’t even think of it as a demotion! You’re going to be helping the ship in a very unique way.” Peter smiled, taking a step towards him, and then another. Apollo teetered on his feet, clearly unsure of what to do next. Confused.
Soon, Peter was upon him. He clapped his flippers down on both of Apollo’s shoulders, and here Elias prepared for him to be gone the next time he blinked, nothing but a thin fog where he once stood. But that didn’t happen. Apollo remained where he was, Peter leering up at him. One flipper traveled up to the back of his head.
“Uh— Captain Lukas?” Apollo said, and those were the last words he’d say into the open air. For as soon as the last syllable left him, Peter jerked his arms forward, forcing Apollo’s face into his — and his head into his mouth.
What?"

Summary
See, Martin has… a bit of a thing. It’s not something he thinks about often, and it’s obviously not something he’d thought possible to indulge in realistically, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting it. Or, he’d thought it wasn’t possible. From the way he has to fight to keep his eyes away from the tendrils actively reaching for him, glistening slightly, it’s clear he’s been proven wrong.
