Summary
Sam did look for Dean, and made some new friends and relationships while he did, more than he ever expected.
After a year of being hurt by other hunters, becoming a possible dad to a human baby and a dad-figure to a supernatural kid, and maybe falling in love for the first time in years, Sam is ready to tell Dean everything and bring Dean on this journey of parenthood with him, but when John Winchester makes a sudden reappearance all of that disappears.
Sam finds himself lying about his year, spinning a story about not looking for either Dean or Castiel and instead settling down to live a normal, hunting-free life. Dean immediately begins to punish him for it, while John doesn't really seem to say anything at all. Sam just waits for his window to tell the truth, all the while trying to stay present in his kids' lives without giving himself away.
Then, when Castiel comes back, things get even more complicated.

Summary
A follow up to my earlier story 'Changes' - you don't have to have read that to really 'get' this but I would recommend it.
After his talk with Bobby, John can barely wait to talk to Sam about what was said. He wakes him up early to have a talk, and finds his guilt getting even worse as he realises the things Sam wants most in the world are things that any other child in America would easily take for granted, especially when he finds that one of those things is just to find out what his own mother looks like.

Summary
Fueled to join the army after the events of the 11th of September 2001, Sam enlists without telling anyone in his family, except leaving voicemails to Bobby and Pastor Jim the day before he reports. Bobby tracks John down, feeling that he deserves to know his son is being sent to fight overseas. The talk starts out rough, but in the end John needs to know exactly what has happened, no matter how unexpected - or even typical - his reaction may be.

Summary
Season 8 AU, where the blast to Purgatory missed Cas and instead he remained above ground Sam, whom he married.
After a year of looking for his missing brother while simultaneously trying to start and live a life with his husband, Sam finally gets the phone call from Dean he's been waiting for. This is their reunion, as usual full of relief, bro hugs, violence and misunderstandings. At least this time Sam has a husband to help him through.

Dean does his best to make this the best birthday he possibly can for Sam, no matter how little time he has to pull as many surprises together as possible. It becomes especially urgent when he realises he has to distract Sam from the high possibility that their Dad isn't coming back today.
Instead Dean finds himself the most surprised out of anyone, and the day turns out much better than he expected.

I'm trying to challenge myself but it will definitely fail so we'll just have to see.
EDIT: Uh so this used to be called 'Story Everyday in August' but as you can probably tell that didn't work out. It was even worse than it appears because I changed the publication date on quite a few of the early stories, most notably the first one, which was in fact originally published on the 2nd of August.
Anyway, I stopped because I didn't keep up with it but also because, even though I liked a lot of the ideas and premises within this story, I was getting tired of how underdeveloped they all were because of how quickly I was having to write them. Summary
After a hunt gone wrong Sam and Dean find themselves de-aged by a witch. Sam is now a baby, and Dean is 25. Castiel tells them that the spell is permanent, and that Sam will have no recollection of his past life as he is forced to grow up again. After not much deliberation they decide to raise Sam, as they can't have a child of their own (being men, and everything, and also they can't adopt legally because of Dean's criminal record and cause Cas doesn't technically exist and everything). However first, they need to work out how the Hell you look after a baby.
This is gonna be a collection of oneshots that are based around Destiel raising baby Sammy cause why not.
