Steve continued rambling with a wave of his hand. “Used to have everything. Perfect life. Perfect girlfriend. Perfect friends. I was King Steve. Hawkins heartthrob. Now am just a babysitting loser who works atta family video store.”
Eddie’s eyes widened and he had to swallow down his words like broken glass, instead replying, “Steve, you’re just really high right now. You should be feeling better by the morning, except for a killer headache. Just need to sleep it off, that’s all sweetheart.”

"He didn’t want to talk about Tommy. Ever. He didn’t connect the boy to the discovery of his sexuality at all.
No, that came from someone else.
And that’s where it gets ridiculous. That’s where he has Robin, Eddie, Nancy, and Jonathan gaping at him in his living room.
But, if they didn’t wanna know, they shouldn’t have asked. Because one thing about Steve Harrington: he commits to games. Even a silly one like “Truth or Dare.”
So when Eddie asked him, “So, how’d you know you were into dudes?”
Steve replied, without hesitation, “Jonathan.”
He waited a minute for dramatic effect, choosing not to elaborate."
