He didn’t understand why he had done it. Standing in the freezing winds of Snowdin, with snowflakes swirling like silent witnesses to his hesitation, he came to the horrible realization that he never understood anything.
But now, under a blazing sun that cast no shadows, Sans would squint at the open sky and wonder if his choice had meant anything at all—or if it was simply another link in an unbroken chain of futility. The warmth on his bones did nothing to erase the cold from his memory. And he will, yet again, remember the distant day when he made the choice.

The bottle became a solution before you realized it was a problem.
One to calm the nerves.
Another to blur the memories.
A third to forget how ineffective the other two were.Relief. Hangover. Recover. Repeat.
Eventually, the relief stopped coming, no matter how many bottles laid empty, the pain seeped through the cracks in your defence - so you looked for a different escape.
