If there's one thing Yasha's learned in her eight seasons in the Wildemount Hockey League, it's that nothing is permanent. Things are always changing, always shifting. Power's always moving from one dynasty to the next. Teams rise and fall through the ranks. Players get traded. That's how it works.

Nines has always had this weird thing about the number nine - it's his hockey number, sure, but he always has to do things nine times, or some other number with a nine in it, whether it's exercises of glasses of water or the number of times he bounces his tennis ball against the wall in the hallway before games. Whatever, they're hockey players, they've all got superstitions. At least he doesn't have a thing about his jock like Crosby did.
Actually, maybe that'd be good. Gavin doesn't think he'd be having this whole crush problem if Nines still wore the same jockstrap as he did when he was 14.

Sam really hadn’t expected anything from Bucky as a force of habit, to minimise disappointment and maximise approval, so Bucky’s sudden softness and carefree grins not only caught him off guard but also socked him right in the face. Then, because his own mind hates him, he starts thinking about what it would be like to live with Bucky all the time.
Sam realises he’s a little (a lot) in love with Bucky. Turns out, Bucky wasn’t too far ahead of that curve.
