    She was the most infuriating woman Bucky Barnes had ever met. Lucy Heinrich was a German-American archaeologist, tasked with retrieving stolen art from the Nazi’s after her fiancé was killed in a death camp. She was the bane of Bucky’s existence, with her stupid smile and skyscraper legs. The way she ran her pretty little mouth made his blood boil, and not in a good kinda way.

    And no — their back and forth banter was not the result of sexual tension, as Dum Dum Dugan painfully liked to point out whenever they had one of their spats.

    ...But, she was charming. In an irritating, know-it-all, kinda way.

    Unfortunately for Bucky, Dugan attempts to play matchmaker and volunteers them both for Lucy’s suicide mission of retrieving the Tesseract. The first problem: It’s deep behind Nazi territory. The second, was that maybe Dugan was right. Perhaps Bucky’s feelings of wanting to throw her against a wall and strangle her, begins to dissipate into something else.

    He still wants to throw her against a wall, though. For other reasons. And maybe being bossed around by the broad with a killer smile and dynamite red lipstick won’t be so bad? Plus, he had to admit, she did look damn good dressed in silk.

    After a young woman wakes up naked and alone in a morgue with no memory, the Red Room takes her in as their newest initiate and trains her alongside the Winter Soldier.

    Thirty years later, after having no identity and feeling like an object who's been used by a cause she no longer believes in, she unveils a dark secret. The secret causes her to go rogue, abandoning the Red Room and life as she knew it. Freedom at last, right?

    Wrong.

    The Asset is sent to kill her. But past memories emerge and they end up in an IHOP in New Jersey after spending the night in a Love Motel. Realizing they make a dangerous duo, they embark on a crazy, country wide, road trip as they try to ignore the obvious sexual tension between them. Which, the shared bed situation isn't helping to diffuse...

    And sure, she might have once had the hots for him— and he might have a Polaroid picture of her breasts in his jacket pocket. But that doesn't mean they have some secret connection beyond their mutual amnesia and brainwashing.

    Or maybe they do? Maybe they have a past that stretches as far back as 1945? Or, maybe he's just another pawn she's playing in the game she's already won.
