He does not know why he has been launched into this strange new world. He has no idea where he is. All he knows that he is alone, with no idea how to get back home.
He does not know the language, and does not understand the technology. He has managed a henge to blend in with the locals, but they look down on him for his perceived stupidity and ignorance to their ways. It is all he can do to steal food, and be thankful that these people, despite their advancement, cannot break a genjutsu.
