Vox froze, a bit of toast halfway to his mouth.
Alastor frowned, looking down at the headline reading Princess’s Pathetic Passion Project. “Everyone says Charlie. H-her own father calls her Charlie, I- I said- say-”
Vox ripped the newspaper out of his hands. “That’s enough, honey.”
Vox is not having a good day. His wife keeps recalling things best left alone, and there’s an unwanted guest waiting at the V Tower.

“Val, do you still paint?” Vox asked.
“Yes?” Of all the things he’d thought Vox wanted to talk about, this was not one of them. Valentino was a demon of many talents, but not many knew about that hobby. He was a social butterfly, but there were times when it felt nice to be alone with a canvas and a brush. Sit back and create a scene without having to deal with spoiled actors and annoying technicians.
“I want a family portrait,” Vox said. “To hang up at home.”
Valentino stared at him. “You want me to paint you and your little whore?”
“He’s my wife, Val.”
“Fine, fine. Why do you want me to paint you two?”
“I’d like a portrait off us, and Alastor has never done well with photography.”
Valentino is invited to Vox and Alastor’s home, to paint a picture of the happy couple.

Summary
When Vox opened the door, he found his wife sitting by the kitchen table. Alastor stiffened when he saw him, and quickly stuffed the last piece of whatever he’d had for breakfast into his mouth, barely chewing before he swallowed. A drop of blood ran down his chin.
“... Welcome home, darling.” Alastor rose from the table. “Are you hungry? I’ll make you breakfast.”
He turned around to the kitchen counter. The soft little tail moved as he began to open the cupboards, and Vox couldn’t resist anymore; he closed in on him, reaching out and squeezing the tail hard.
Alastor froze. “V-vox!”
Vox draped himself against Alastor’s back. “As good as breakfast sounds, sweetheart, there’s something else I’m hungry for.”
“Vox, stop! You- the neighbors might see!”
Vox comes back late after a night on the town, but at home, there’s problems. When did his sweet wife start to get so disobedient?
