Yet, he wishes it was him. Klaus doesn’t know that much about alternate timelines, but maybe, somewhere, he’s with Dave. Maybe somewhere he saved him. Maybe somewhere he got to be with him again. Maybe somewhere they were the ones getting married. Maybe somewhere Klaus’ siblings’ problems didn’t mean shit to him because he was married.

Barty and Regulus have broken up. Again.
Regulus is a mess. Night out after night out at the club getting black out drunk.
Sirius is doing his best to keep his brother safe, but he's overwhelmed, so he turns to James Potter to keep an eye on his brother when Sirius can't.James Potter realizes very quickly just how much he has gotten himself into with Regulus Black.
Barty isn't doing much better, but he has Evan. He'll always have Evan. Evan is friends with both Barty and Regulus and Barty knows he'll never outright pick sides, but he can rely on Evan to take care of him whenever he and Regulus break up.
Evan suffers every time Barty and Regulus get back together again.
Barty and Regulus don’t work.
