Summary
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Richie says right off the bat, and he sounds believable, because he’s become so aware of the trouble he’s in that he’s prepared to deny any and all questions.
Ben doesn’t buy it. “C’mon, Rich.”
“You got the wrong guy pal,” Richie shrugs. “Unless ‘Eddie’ is the name of a gorgeous blonde woman, you are incorrect, my good man.”
Ben gives him a sympathetic look now, head tilting.
Richie starts to get nervous. “Do I have something on my face,” he deadpans.
“Richie… I….” He sighs. “I know.”
“I need my drinks to come quicker.”
/
“He’s annoying and I want to strangle him.”
“Who are you talking to right now? Richie?”
She laughs. “Dude. It’s me.”Eddie gives her an afflicted look.
“Hey, the first step is overcoming denial,” she shrugs.
Eddie sighs heavily, and buries his face in his two hands. “I wanna jump his bones.”
“There we go!” Bev cheers.
“I need more wine.”

Summary
Will’s eyes sting with tears, and his nose prickles with heat. He feels like he’s burning, like he’s on fire. But Mom’s right—he doesn’t have to be afraid. She knows, and she loves him, and she’s not leaving. All that’s left is the words. And he shouldn’t be scared of words. After all he’s been through, if what takes him down is the English alphabet, then the world has a really fucked up sense of humor.
He just needs to rip off the bandaid.

“I didn’t tell Myra I even applied to come here. I don’t really know why, I just… I had to, you know? It felt like… it was my last chance.”
“Last chance for what?”
“I don’t even know, that’s the fucked-up part. To do something, I guess. To do anything.” He turns to Richie. “Pretty stupid, right?”
“No,” Richie murmurs. “I don’t think so.”
