Summary

the misunderstanding is that tony refuses to sleep w steve while he's drunk, steve wakes up with no memory of BEING drunk and assumes that he and tony slept together and is upset because he doesn't remember it & wanted it to be something more, tony thinks steve is upset because he assumed tony took advantage of him and is offended. steve does not realize that is what tony is thinking, and thinks that tony is disgusted by steve. they are both determined to be normal but instead are incredibly awkward and both mentally assuming the worst. after enchantress casts the spell, tony is the first to realize and then the news reveals its an ongoing phenomenon. steve is the first to notice that tony is reacting to steve's pain. steve tests his theory in a meeting, tony reacts, and they BOTH awkwardly run out. steve fucks up tho and doesn't explain clearly that he was testing to see if it was reciprocal and tony gets offended and leaves. nat, as always, is the voice of reason. then, steve manages to confess and tony doesn't believe him lmao. they confess. they fuck. the end.

Summary
Sometimes working out whether you could spend the rest of your life bound to someone is a lot of work, riddled with compromises and misunderstandings. Sometimes it's natural.
Kaku finds that it's natural to fall in love with Lucci, but that Lucci is a lot of work, that compromises are expected but not often given, and that misunderstandings are really his own fault.
He also knows that he'd still never find a better partner to spend the rest of his life with.
