"Yeah? Eat this!" Richie shouts. He grabs Eddie by the front of his stupid dandelion shirt and blows a whole cloud of smoke right into Eddie's scrunched up face.

Richie shoves his burning face into his pillow. It’s dark in their bedroom, which is the only reason he felt comfortable bringing this up at all, an impulse he’s still half-regretting. Eddie didn’t recoil in disgust, at least, and he doesn’t seem upset, but the quiet, thoughtful interrogation is almost worse. He’s just glad he can’t actually see Eddie’s face. “I don't know, man, just say some mean shit the next time we fuck. You say mean shit to me all the time, it shouldn’t be that hard.”
