Summary
Have you ever read Book 4 and thought, "Wow, this is really fucking sad. Wouldn't it have been great if things had gone just a little differently?" Do you love Wu Ming and wish there had been more of him in the novel? Are you a fan of pining, slow-burn, and hurt/comfort tropes?
If so, then this might just be the fic for you~

Summary
When his arms slide over Jeongguk’s shoulders, dropping a kiss safely on his temple, away from the gore, Jeongguk doesn’t even flinch. He giggles, head rolling backwards, and coos, “Hey, hyung.”
Namjoon kisses him sweetly, ignoring the damp fingers that curl in his hair. “How’d you know it was me?”
“Haven’t you noticed yet?” Jeongguk turns to look at him, haunting under the pale moon, something straight out of the horror movies and novels that he reads; Namjoon marvels at him for too long and feels as if he’s been seduced, sentenced himself to death at the hands of a beautiful monster.
He’s not surprised at how little it bothers him.
“Noticed what?” Namjoon asks, thumbing blood away from his eyes and mouth, wary of injuring him. Jeongguk grabs his wrist, fingers stained and pruned like roses, and Namjoon loses himself in the shape of them.
“The birds don’t sing when you’re around, Hyung.”
ie. Namjoon needs bodies. Jeongguk needs him.

Summary
At seventeen, Namjoon became a part of one of the greatest superhero teams that ever existed.
At twenty-one, he decimated an entire district without even being consciously aware of it.
And now at twenty-five, there's someone trying to start an apocalypse, most of his teammates are either a) retired, b) hate him or c) both, government representatives are breathing down his neck, and his relationship with the youngest member of his old team is at best complicated, and at worst, a giant clusterfuck.
So yeah. Life sucks.
