this was a really enjoyable post canon au where neil develops epilepsy due to brain scarring and andrew’s internal struggles navigating their relationship and taking on a more active role in helping him through something he has no control over ;-; so well written and so well done i loved the validity of their struggles and their character portrayals were so well done

there is a REASON this is so popular and always on rec lists!!!! i loved this so much, a really good analysis on the growth of neil and andrew’s relationship and their own personal growth with their individual struggles. specifically neil learning how to LIVE rather than survive and the psychological come down he has to face living in “peace” after being in survival mode for so long while being someone who consistently overlooks his own well being so long as it’s not life or death and ESPECIALLY if it’s just emotional which this largely IS. then andrew learning how to be something beyond a physical support and learning how to be the emotional support neil needs and more notably andrew WANTS to be for him. and of course the age old story of coming to terms with their “nothing” being “something” that is so monumental and important to eachother 💗💗 my heart is full

i loved this so much, the character exploration into andrew and how coming off the meds with no neil has the butterfly effect of him not allowing himself to explore his own wants and communication in the relationships of those around him instead trying to force himself into the unfeeling box he outgrew after the meds… really enjoyed this and loved the fall, gilmore girls, small town, foodie vibes :3
