This story has hands down my favourite way of Sterek getting together:
Stiles looked wrecked, "I do not want one of those ever."
"Oh," Derek said from beside him. It sounded a bit forlorn.
Noah couldn't help but meet Peter's gaze, which somehow managed to be both affectionate and exasperated.
"Children, you are in fact children, and do not need to think about babies and besides if you adopt you can go for older wolf cubs who are toilet trained. There are a good number who need pack, home, thanks to hunters."
"Yeah, I could do like three to seven," Stiles said after a moment. "Like way in the future."
"That's interesting, I was thinking more like one or two, but I'm rich I guess we could do seven kids," Derek said after a moment. He was smiling, pleased. "And plus side with older, won't have to deal with you naming a child."
"I'm sorry, what?" Stiles blinked slowly. "Wait, what?"
"What what?" Derek was scowling at him. "I'm fine with wanting seven kids. A big pack. Zoey will like the company after being the only little one for a long time." Zoey made a noise in her sleep like she was agreeing. "See cousins will be great for her. I don't mind taking lead first, adopt a couple while you are in say your last year of university? Are you still thinking law enforcement? Because I don't actually know if it is the best fit for you? I was thinking I join up with your dad as a deputy because look Parrish's hellhound is great and all but have a birth werewolf on team would be helpful. Then you could write like you secretly want to do. Stay at home dad with them, and work on that book you talk about sometimes."

"How am I getting seven kids?" Stiles' voice climbed and he got several low growls to make sure he didn't wake the baby. "I meant ages three to seven, ages, not body count. And Derek we aren't even dating, remember? I'm barely into year one of my ten year plan."
Noah enjoyed the eye roll that he and Peter exchanged.
"Well, mine is a two year plan," Derek was scowling at Stiles. "So I win."
"Why two years?"
"Because you'll be legal then," Derek snapped like Stiles was an idiot for not cluing in.
"Like I care about that," Stiles answered. "You want to date me?"
"You might not care but -" Noah found himself pointed at. Very vehemently. With head tilts. "He might. Sheriff, legality?"
Save him. Noah stood. "Right here is what is going to happen. You two will start dating. I will stay suspicious of it for another six months, and then start calling you son, Derek, because my kid's partner will be my son. You'll at that time go to the academy, and the two of you will mope at being apart and I will have to do deal with it. Stiles will eventually go to school, a couple hours away and there will be more moping and lord save us all. He will come home and you two will build a nice house on Hale land. Stiles will write, you will protect and serve, and eventually you will adopt four kids of various supernatural status and I will be called Grampa because I like classics. That is your goddamn ten year plan, you hear me?"
"Yes, sir," Derek said.
"Yeah, I can work with that." Stiles dove and was kissing Derek hard enough to knock them over.

“What?”
“Nobody forced you to get the bite,” he says, still glaring at her. “Nobody ‘dragged’ you into anything. You chose this.”
“Chose this?" Her anger returns, now aimed at Stiles. "Of course I didn’t choose this! I didn’t even–”
“What, you thought you would turn into a werewolf and everything would suddenly be happily ever after?”
“I didn’t think I was going to be looking over my shoulder and running for my life for the rest of my life!”
“Did Derek not mention hunters?” Stiles asks, clearly rhetorically. “Did he not mention the Argents by name? Because considering that was the reason behind his first pitch to Scott - literally not even a full day after he turned, mind you - I struggle to believe that!”
“Of course he did,” she says, annoyed. “But he–”
“But you just wanted the rapid healing and the ability to fight back instead of being everybody’s target and decided that all those advantages were worth it. But now that you realise they are real enemies and there are consequences to your choices you want to quit to save your own skin.”
“That’s not fair,” she says, still glowering at him.
