Lucanis did want to make the recipe for Emmrich as part of expressing his gratitude for his help with the wards and advice with Spite in general, but it was definitely not the only reason that he had wanted to do this, when a simple ‘thank you’ or a letter would suffice. No, he wanted to this because of this feeling – this feeling of affection and care, and something more that just settled in his heart with more warmth than Andoral’s breath could offer. Something real that made his chest tighten and heart race at the same time.
This – this feeling – that he had, was foreign.

Steve’s pinky twitches out, like it’s got a mind of its own, towards Eddie’s hand. His heart is in his throat, breath caught behind it, as his pinky hovers, trembling. He could touch him.
