Chishiya jumped. He hadn’t noticed anyone following him, too fixated on the game, not noticing as a woman had joined him. She was a westerner, speaking with a thick English accent, and a sort of look on her face like a very self-assured goldfish.
“‘Ave you noticed that people are dying down there?” the woman asked. “At first I thought it was just a bunch of weirdos playing tag because they thought they were twelve or something, but that woman down there is definitely dead. You can see her brains and everything!”
Ah, so she was new. To her credit, she was awfully calm about it.
