    Summary

"I prefer to think on these things I see," Poirot said. "I do not intend to speak on them until it is time to pass judgement."
"Your own judgement, or that of the law?"

Holmes shifted to light a cigarette; Poirot could just see his face, in the milky light of the coming dawn.
"Are they not the same thing?"

Two somewhat broken detectives meet, and perhaps they heal, just a little.
A canon/Branagh!Poirot crossover; a meeting between a retired Sherlock Holmes and a young Poirot.

    Summary

"I would have thought that in our persistence you would have recognised the gravity of the request."
"I do not want to recognise it. I was trying," Poirot says with exasperation, "to take a holiday."

Poirot appreciates symmetry. It’s how he deals with the noise in his head.

Not quite a fic with a happy ending, but it does have a resolution.

    Summary

The hand of fate was a cruel thing. It followed everyone who traveled through the realms, from tragic beginnings to horrific endings. Some people sought to embrace it, while others tried to flee from it, but its permanence was undeniable. Yet, as you stood there, reflecting on a previous life that now seemed so far and a future that appeared all but definite, you couldn't help but wonder why fate had brought you here. In a home that was no longer home and in a place you found no more joy. Was this to be the end of your story?

Or had it only just begun

    Summary

“Monsieur,” the voice said once more, sounding aggrieved.
Blast it. Hercule turned sharply about, seeking out the fool who was fouling this moment, who was cutting short the only peace he had found in these last, bitter weeks.
    And there—
    And there—
Hercule was on his feet and stumbling forward, his hands out and reaching toward—
“Bouc,” he said, the word, like a prayer, stumbling out past his numb lips. “Bouc!”

Or, the reports of Bouc's death were greatly exaggerated. Hercule takes it well.

    Summary

She spotted him as the bright stage lights went out.

Sitting alone in the dim auditorial space, the square silhouette of his body emerged from the shadows, the face still concealed in darkness. His appearance looked as correct and flawless as ever, but this night the tremendously confident man appeared to her so vulnerable, almost fragile – though entrancingly courageous.

This is a sequel to the magnificent closing scene of Death on the Nile, in which Poirot will have to face his deepest fears — and perhaps also something rather unexpected.
