Summary
Wednesday was walking side by side her boyfriend when she felt it. It was like her whole body was set aflame. Her uniform suddenly felt too hot, too much, for her to be wearing, her normal steady heart rate soaring as she felt the fire engulf her. She didn’t realize she stopped until the boy called out her name from a few steps ahead.
“Hey, Wednesday. You okay?” He asked, voice laced with concern.
“Yeah, just got a little hot.” She caught up with him.
“Oh, are you sick?”
“No, I’m fine now.” She smiled back before urging them forward. It must’ve been the spot she was standing in. The sun must have hit it some sort of way that set her skin, her heart, on fire.
She looked up to the boy next to her, a concerned smile still on his face, but felt nothing.
