Summary
Magic is Menace. Sine Usu, Sine Timore. Sine Superbia, Sine Supplicio. Sine Magia, Sine Minatio.
Wizarding Britain, 2006. The Statute is trembling. Diagon Alley is still a mess. The leaks continue en masse. The Ascetics have begun to make moves, but they are not the only ones with designs on the magical world's future. The British Ministry's leadership? Still a question that no one's certain of the answer to.
The Postscript Society began with a simple idea: reach across the magical-Muggle line to meet the people on the other side. But as the ground shifts beneath them, witches and wizards of Britain are beginning to ask nervous questions, such as "Are they ready to meet?"
And, "Are we?"

Summary
The Statute was built for doors. Time, as my Muggleborn friends keep trying to explain, is increasingly fond of Windows.
In 1998, the war against Voldemort ended. Allegedly, in 2017, all was well.
Hogwarts, 2006. The war is over. The castle is still standing. The staircases still try to kill people. Muggle Studies still thinks the 'internet' is a type of cauldron. The ethics curriculum? Still designed for medieval dueling disputes. And yet.
Widdershins Weekly arrives monthly, anonymously, charmed to look like scrap parchment and packed with satire. And a cross-house group of misfits are beginning to ask inconvenient questions, such as "Is our entire society held together with Spellotape and siege mentality?"
---
"I simply- Professor, I understand the reasoning of the Statute. But what if it is no longer sustainable? Not only ethically. In practice?"
"Unsustainable? Why wouldn't it be sustainable?"
"Do you really think Muggles won't... outpace us in remembering? Sharing? That they'll never figure it out in enough numbers to make stopping it ridiculous?" She shrugged. "You can't obliviate the world."

A zine by-students, for-students, unless Headmistress McGonagall finds it, in which case it was all hypothetical and no wizarding bureaucrats were harmed.
Since 2004, there's been a student newspaper sneaking about the corridors of Hogwarts. Come 2006, it's moved past the gossip and into play-bites.

Summary
The question isn't whether the world will notice us. It's whether we'll still be pretending not to notice them when it happens.
A post-canon, OC-centric set of Harry Potter fics centering on a cross-House group of Hogwarts students known to some as 'the Contraries'. They are of the 'lost generation' that began Hogwarts shortly after the war and came of age in the 2000s. Theirs is a story of the last days of the Statute of Secrecy - and their attempts to make a difference in it.
