“Uh— Phil?” The man calls over his shoulder, golden eyes never leaving Tommy’s face, “I need your help over here.”
Tommy bares his teeth, wings fluttering threateningly. He doesn’t want the man to get help, he wants him to go away.
Another man steps into view. This one is short and blonde, with wings a hundred times bigger than Tommy’s, and he’s dressed just as nice as the first man. He hasn’t seen Tommy yet; he’s looking at the big pink one. Mouth open like he’s going to speak.
Tommy hisses again, louder this time. And the man's head snaps towards him— which doesn’t scare Tommy. He doesn’t shrink back, doesn’t try to tuck away his wings with a whine. Because he’s big. He’s big and scary; nothing is scarier than him and he knows it, because he says it.
“Oh,” The man says softly, expression falling at his eyes dart across Tommy’s face. “Oh, mate.”

Summary
Tommy didn't have much. Even as a famous actor, he didn't have many friends or aspirations beyond whatever his agent emailed him.
But then he met his co-star in a new royalty show and it all changed.
He had something. A friend. Maybe even a brother.
Yet, only a brother on screen. Only in the words recited from a script. It wasn't real when Wilbur called him his brother despite the cameras not rolling. It couldn't be.
But he still caved into the part of him that yearned it to be true.
~ 5 times Tommy didn't think it was real + 1 time Wilbur made him believe it.

Wil scurries through the trees, adrenaline rushing in his veins. He pays little mind to how his legs burn as he continues to push them past their typical running capacity. Every bone and muscle in his body aches from the previous unideal confrontation. He almost stumbles, clutching the precious in his arms tighter on instinct. The gold and red-speckled egg starts to glow once more.

Wil sort of accidentally-on-purpose nabs a dragon egg to keep it safe from hateful townsfolk, refusing to let it suffer like he has (and to kill the loneliness inside himself). The townsfolk are not very happy.
So, Wil does what he does best, and runs. Running from one group finds him another set of people. Expect these...dragonshifters...are more than happy to have another child, despite him being human. Hey, the boy came with their lost egg, so it was a package deal. Insert angst, hurt, fluff, comfort, and Emerald Duo rightfully yoinking Crimebois.
