It’s like George is this constant, rolling wave, building up on itself as it rises over the horizon, white-capped and folding over like it’s preparing to crash into shore, and Arthur is powerless to do anything but stand there in the shallow waters, salty seawater lapping at his ankles. The wave is growing larger, and the tide is coming in.
