After Derry, Richie is spiraling. He's drinking too much, sleeping too little, and still trying to get a handle on his grief and guilt, so maybe it makes sense that he's been experiencing things that seem... odd: cold spots, shadows in the mirror, recurring nightmares where Eddie tries desperately to tell him something.
He does his best to convince himself that he's just imagining it, but then he gets a phone call from Patty Uris and discovers that he's not the only one being haunted by a presence that can't seem to leave.
Together, they go back to Derry to face their ghosts, both literal and figurative.

In a big, dumb, gay sort of way, and I never stop. But I just saw Eddie die a thousand times and a Turtle from outer space (I think) sent me here to fix it and I need your help and I don’t know what to—
“Richie? Eh-earth to Richie?” Bill had stopped walking, and was looking at him funny.“Hearing you loud and clear, ground control,” said Richie without meaning to, again on autopilot. He couldn’t help himself. He never learned how. “I’ve just disengaged hyper-speed and I’ve got a beautiful view of Uranus.”
Bill looked at him for a moment, and then shook his head. Richie didn’t get a laugh, but he came close.

The occupants are odd, the stories surrounding it odder, and Patrick's strange dreams are beginning to seem less like dreams and more like something else. Something he can't quite understand.
Add in a charmingly awkward former captain, and a threatening man playing dress up, and suddenly, there's a lot more for Patrick to worry about then how to pay next week's rent.

After a bad mission, Clint and Bucky are stuck in a safehouse together. There is a snowstorm cutting them off from the outside world and the rest of the team, so they only have themselves and each other to face the demons of distant and recent past.
Of course, they're slowly falling in love with one another as well.

Being stuck together has one advantage - they can’t hide, and thankfully, that is an advantage in this case because it could have gone poorly, very easily.
But as it is, they simply exist together in this tight and cramped space, wait for the weather to get better and for their connection to the team to start working again. In the meantime, they continue to sleep together (literally just sleep, get your mind out of the gutter), share meals and thoughts and curse the rickety cabin with its shitty couch and lopsided shower-shelf and that one damn chair that is out to kill them both. (They have disregarded that one as the Clothes-Pile-Chair, simply so no one accidentally sits on it).
