No, he would never hurry his partner. Instead, the sentence came out like a soft breeze, each syllable dripping with sweetness and genuineness, like a soft gumdrop melting in a mouth. He stood there, tie fastened securely around his neck, breath slow and even and confident, hair swaying with the subtle wind smoothly as he felt a smaller hand now heaving in his palm, their fingers intertwined tightly together. He let out a small smile at this, pulling his beloved closer to him, his free hand now resting on Chance’s waist, tightly, but not too much for it to hurt. He would never wish to hurt his dearest.

“Where on earth are they?” Mafioso grumbled to himself, pacing around the living room of his and Chance’s shared apartment complex with his phone in hand, repeatedly pressing on the pinned contact at the top of the list of contacts, named “Dearest Love”. It had been four hours since Chance had said they would go out to go and buy groceries since Mafioso was too busy to do so himself, and yet they still hadn’t come back yet. To say it was worrying was an understatement. It was distressing. Mafioso knew how reckless they could get, and how they tended to have quite self destructive tendencies, and it most certainly didn’t help that Chance had not answered a single one of his texts ever since they exited.
OR
Chance went out to buy groceries, but they haven’t come back yet, and it’s been four hours. Of course Mafioso, ever the loving boyfriend he is, is going to go out to find them.
