A few days later, Harry was sitting at breakfast with Ron and Hermione when Ron leaned over to grab another helping of sausage; his leg bumped into Harry’s, and Harry hissed in pain, the dull throbbing burning bright and hot again.
“Sorry, mate,” Ron said, alarmed at Harry’s reaction.
“Ronald! What did you do?” Hermione gasped, also alarmed at how much pain Harry seemed to be in.“I barely touched him! I swear!” Ron threw up his hands in self defense.
“I’m fine,” Harry said, swallowing down the pain. The gash on his thigh wasn’t healing as fast as he wanted it to, but he still felt like he couldn’t tell anyone how it’d happened.
