Summary
The truth was that Anakin and her had drifted apart slowly but surely during the past two years, both standing on separate, parallel islands; the ship that had once brought them together capsized beyond salvation. She wasn't so stupid to pretend like the breach hadn't already been there at the beginning, but since the war had started, the accumulated weight of her bad decisions had finally torn the web she’d carefully weaved with the deceptions she’d collected over time. Those being that she loved Anakin, that their marriage could work if they only kept it as a secret, that their relationship meant more to her than her job.
And to top it all: the pregnancy. Unexpected and unwelcomed and like a clock ticking inside her head. Nine months, the clock reminded her, nine months before it all changes forever. Perhaps even less than that.

Noel definitely should have left. A hell of a story it’d make. You’ll never believe who I found sweating through his heat in the loo of the Porto stadium. But he didn’t; he was rooted to the spot. He’d never thought to smell Liam like this again.
