Summary
Six years posterior to the night Jack Crawford closed the case on Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham and pronounced them both dead, he receives an unmarked package with a journal inside. To his dismay, it disproves not only their deaths, but additionally his ability to pin them down.
Reading their recounts in search of evidence substantial enough to reopen the case, Jack finds a different kind of tale than what he's looking for, and begins to wish he knew them both a little less.

"He suddenly became very aware of the foreign heat soaking into his own shirt from Hannibal’s gunshot wound and he knew the chances of his survival became more questionable with each moment that ticked by. It suddenly didn’t matter that Hannibal had tried to kill him, that he’d arranged for his wife and son to be murdered, that he was a monster disguised in a three piece suit.
The teacup that had come together for them as they embraced suddenly shattered once more, into a million shards that came glittering down around them. And that was when Will decided. They were indeed conjoined and neither of them would survive separation. He would make sure of it."
Post fall/post WOTL which will have a divergence as it'll be a new storyline created from where we were left in the show- I do use WOTL as a jumping off point and use dialogue and story from the show as context clues for diverging!
After the fall Hannibal is missing, presumed dead by most. But Will doesn't believe it, smoke can't be killed. He knows the only way to find Hannibal is to think like him, and maybe to act like him too. How far will he end up going in his search for his beloved monster?
