He’s not sure why he hasn’t crossed it yet, but once he does it’s breaking a line he’s broken a hundred times. He stays back, and Xabi notices. “Come on. Come close. Don’t be shy, Granit. I’ve seen you looking at me all afternoon.”
He’s hit the nail on the head. He can’t disobey, even if he wanted to. His body has always moved faster than his mind, perhaps a little recklessly, and Xabi’s presence kicks it into overdrive.
