He can hear Eddie's breath hitch in his throat across the line. Fuck, fuck, Buck has taken it too far, he couldn't just shut up. He's about to beg for forgiveness and say he's just tired and not thinking clearly when Eddie laughs.
"Well, yeah, I'd hope not."
(Eddie calls Buck after a hookup goes wrong. Naturally, the conversation goes to what they're both like in bed.)

And Eddie knows he shouldn’t say it, shouldn’t even be thinking it, but when Buck’s sitting like that, looking unfairly good in a white shirt that stretches over his shoulders and leaves little to imagination, he can’t stop himself from wanting it more than he’s ever wanted something before.
“You should kiss me,” he says, because he’s stupid with want, but when Buck’s gaze flickers to his lips, he knows he’s screwed if Buck kisses him.
[A few months after breaking up with Natalia, Buck mentions he misses kissing during the annual Grant-Nash Christmas party. Eddie, of course, offers to kiss him, and things spiral from there.]

Summary
"We can kiss right now and know that it means absolutely nothing. Just two friends kissing." Buck says with a shrug to his shoulders as if this is a completely normal conversation that two very platonic best friends have on the daily.
"Yeah," Eddie says with a perplexed look on his face, "because we both know that we aren't attracted to each other." He adds, his voice wavering in pitch.
"Exactly!" Buck exclaims before a mischievous smile tugs on the corners of his lips. "One kiss to prove my point." He shrugs again.
Eddie's swallows the nervous lump in his throat, then says. "One kiss."

or : One innocent kiss has Buck and Eddie stumbling blindly into a friends with benefits situation, and the first rule of being friends with benefits is no emotions- too bad Buck and Eddie have never been ones to follow the rules.
