Summary
“Hey!” Buck calls out, spotting the lunch box that neither Eddie nor Christopher grabbed before leaving. “You forgetting something?”
Eddie sticks his head back in the door. “Oh, sorry,” he says, still half-distracted as his self-imposed time schedule comes crashing down on him. He approaches Buck at the counter, and before Buck can reach over and snag the lunch box, Eddie cranes his neck to drop a swift kiss on Buck’s lips.
“See you after work!” Eddie calls over his shoulder before he’s out the door, leaving Buck in the kitchen still clutching a lunch box in his hands.
Buck blinks. His lips tingle. “Bye,” he says to the empty house.

Summary
Eddie loved his son. He loved his son so, so much. He would never stop fighting for his son. It didn’t matter if his helicopter was getting shot down in a desert halfway across the world, or if he was nearly drowning while trapped under thirty feet of mud, or if he was crawling on hands and knees back to El Paso in contrition, he was going to do whatever it took to be with Christopher.
But he had also just kissed Buck for the first time ninety minutes ago, and he was supposed to have 1,440 more minutes of kissing before they had to go back to the real world. Eddie had waited seven years for this, he wanted twenty-four hours of uninterrupted necking with the love of his life, god dammit.

Summary
“Does it feel weird to you?”
“The flirting?”
“No. This,” Buck clarifies, tapping on the soft bare skin of Eddie’s back. “The intimacy, I guess?”
Or: it’s actually kind of weird to shower with your best friend who you just started dating. But, also, it’s maybe the most wonderful thing in the world.

Summary
(keep my hand in yours)
Buck tastes like the beer they drank after they got in, the dumplings they picked up from that good Japanese place just on the corner from the firehouse, like soy sauce and the garlicky sriracha he likes to put on literally everything. It’s the best thing Eddie’s ever tasted. He’s pretty sure he’ll never want to detach his mouth from Buck’s ever again.
Buck does do that, however. Pulls away just a hairbreadth, breathes in sharply through his mouth. A grumpy little whine cuts through the silence of the kitchen like thunder.
“Oh,” Buck whispers, sixty different shades of smug, and Eddie’s face gets all boiling when he realizes the sound came from him. “Huh.”Or,
Buck gives Eddie his world back, and Eddie is in love with him. They go from 0 to a 100 real quick.Series

Summary
“Sorry,” Eddie says suddenly, with a little frown between his eyebrows that makes Buck’s next breath come in a wheeze. “I didn’t even ask if you’re okay. Any anxiety? Shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat?”
“Not—uh,” Buck coughs, trying so hard to say something normal, but against his best efforts, what comes out is: “Not because of the elevator.”
Eddie’s eyebrows climb up his forehead.
“I’m not claustrophobic, is what I mean,” Buck says, but the damage has been done. “Just, you know.”
or the one in which buck stumbles on the rest of his life in a malfunctioning courthouse elevator.
