Summary
Penelope opens up her flat’s door to a disheveled and heavily panting Colin Bridgerton who apparently got in a bar brawl against her boyfriend after the unsavory things he said about her in his drunken stupor.
She should fix him up and send him packing. Right, just the rightful thing to do. Except that a bruised-from-fighting-for-her-honor Colin was something that had stoked some inner kindling inside her. Alone with him in her apartment in the middle of the night while she tended to his scraped and wounded, but hard, tight and toned torso….she should be fine right?
