Summary
Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson are both professors to Columbia Law students. It's well known among students that both are fantastic professors and brilliant lawyers. Students that have Professor Nelson are subjected to quite a bit of his life story and know that he's married, has two kids, and basically everything else anyone could want to know about him. Students that have Professor Murdock know a total of three things: his name is Matt Murdock, he's blind, and he's married. And they only know that last one because of the wedding band on his finger. It's not uncommon for students to have both Professors Nelson and Murdock over their time as law students, and usually students have them multiple times. It is, however, rare that students have both professors at the same time. A lucky group of six are in class with both this semester, one class right after the other. If they're lucky, these six may earn some new insight into both professors.

Summary
“You are injured,” Edwin observed aloud.
“Always am, mate,” Charles huffed, then brought a hand to his ribs where a jolt of pain shot through him. Part of him hoped Edwin would just leave it at that today.
For how close they were in their positions on the plush bed, Edwin was still putting too much distance between them again. He always did, when he could suss out that Charles had fresh bruises or cuts, as though he was scared that even the lightest touch would hurt Charles more.
Even if it did, Charles knew it would be a pain that he would gladly endure as long as it was Edwin who was touching him.
“What happened?”
“Fell down the stairs,” Charles breathed out slowly, trying to keep up what little pretense he had left.

Or, a modern/alive AU in which the boys are home from school for the summer and Edwin is Charles’ sanctuary when he needs an escape from being home with his father.

Summary
"I can feel the way everyone is staring at me," Crystal said only a little louder, a blush high on her cheeks.
"Perhaps it is your outfit," Edwin smirked. Crystal's reaction was immediate, elbowing him hard in the stomach, but there was a smile forming on her face that Edwin took pride in.
"Dick. . . But hey, at least I won't look fucking insane talking to a demon only I can see this time."
Edwin hummed, "Well, the night is young."
Crystal groaned, grabbing his wrist, "God, please don't tempt fate."
Edwin withdrew his wrist from her grip, instead placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Rest assured, should any demons appear, I have an exorcism ritual on hand."

When Crystal's parents ask her to attend one of their art installation events, she becomes incredibly stressed and anxious at the idea of running into people from her old life, and she'd really rather not have to attend the event alone. Niko is visiting her mom, though, and Charles is too busy with a project in his magic bag. Luckily, though unexpected, Edwin offers to accompany her. The outcome isn't exactly what either of them anticipated.

"Charles. . . We have talked about this."
Charles shook his head, "I don't care. We can't- I can't. . . What if something happens?"
"It won't."
"You don't know that."
Edwin was giving him a saddened look. He hated that. Edwin wasn't supposed to be sad because of him.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled, practically on instinct. Edwin just shook his head, taking a step closer. When he held out a hand, Charles was helpless to do anything but take it, sucking in a deep, unnecessary breath as Edwin intertwined their fingers.

Charles has been doing better with trusting that he and Edwin are safe since the events in Port Townsend, but it hasn't been easy for either of them. Edwin is trying his best to get Charles to relax and take some time to rest before he burns out yet again, but it's proving to be more of a challenge than either of them anticipated to heal from everything that happened.

Summary
When Edwin turned to look at Charles, the other was already looking at him, a smile playing on his lips.
Edwin furrowed his brow.
"What?" he questioned, shifting in his desk chair, sitting up a little straighter. But Charles just smiled wider in response, scooching from his usual spot on the edge of the desk so he was closer to Edwin.
Edwin swallowed as Charles leaned in, that ridiculous, gorgeous smile getting closer to him. Edwin bit his lip, trying to hide his own smile that was growing to match.
"Stop that," he mumbled.
Charles had one hand resting on the opposite side of the desk from where he was sitting, supporting himself as he was now leaned so far into Edwin's space their faces were only inches apart. Charles only raised an expectant eyebrow in response to Edwin's weak, non-committal protest, fully aware of the way Edwin so easily melted under that gaze of his. Fully aware of how convincing his smile truly was.
