Summary
The first time is an accident. Lee Dongsik hasn’t even finished going through his court proceedings. He hasn’t called, hasn’t texted. Juwon’s handling it by getting shitfaced in a tourist bar at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. Nobody from Manyang would be caught dead here.
Juwon doesn't contact anyone the year post-canon because he's busy drinking himself stupid and going home with the first person who looks willing to fuck him. You could call it a coping method.

The house had yellow walls and pale wood trim in all the rooms. The floors were linoleum, except the bathroom and the kitchen which had tile. Juwon cleaned the bathroom sink and the mirror every day with wipes, even though Dongsik didn’t leave much to clean. He only shaved every other day at most, and would rub raspily at his chin when his stubble got too long. Juwon would have hated the sound if it was anyone else. Instead he found the soft scratchy noise inoffensive, like the whir of wheels on an exercise bike.
Juwon moves in unannounced.

Summary
Wen Kexing made a nuisance of himself, unsurprisingly. At first it was just a barrage of smugly recited poetry and unwanted tasty morsels placed in his bowl.
But a few hours in — after Chengling was bustled away and most of their fellows were as drunk as Zhou Zishu was pretending to be — Zhou Zishu felt a hand creeping up his thigh.
Zhou Zishu shot Wen Kexing a quelling look, unimpressed.

Summary
Zhou Zishu takes the pipe, checks that the ember is still alive, and sets it in his mouth. When he sucks the smoke into his mouth, he can only just barely perceive the pungent herbal scent of it, like passing someone in the street who had smoked hours before. But it feels the same as it always has, hot and dry in the back of his throat. He holds it in his lungs, offers the pipe to Wen Kexing. Exhales slowly through his nose.
