Five Times Tony Almost Caught Bruce (and one time he did).
Set post-IM2 and pre-Avengers.Written for this prompt at avengerkink:
I want Tony chasing Bruce in a high-tech manhunt around the world.Could be pre-Avengers, maybe the army asks Tony to help them hunt down the Hulk, maybe SHIELD does, or could be after the Avengers, when Bruce has run away yet again.
I just want Tony chasing Bruce, but I want the story really to be about all the Macgyvering and inventing they do in the process. In canon, Banner invented a wrist-watch teleporter and a electromagnetic shield, right, so he's clearly a pretty damn good engineer in addition to being a genius scientist.
Bruce invents devices to help him escape and remain hidden, and Tony invents devices to track him down and scope him out.
How it ends is up to author, but I don't really want something too sad. Also, I prefer Tony not to be too dark, which I know would be hard to swing, but if it's pre-Avengers, you could go with his pre-Afghanistan callousness, and if it's post-Avengers, they could really, really need his expertise to save the world.

Summary
Sawada Nana had many secrets. Some were simple (where the cookies were hidden away from small hands). Some were big (being reborn from a man to a woman was an... interesting change). Some were just ridiculous (Checkerface should really just, stop. Seriously, stop). Either way, Nana had kids to look after, and if the world thought they could take even one of the Sawada kids by force they had another thing coming. I'm looking at you Checkerface. And lemitsu. And the Vongola. And... jeez, is everyone in on this? Nana has a lot of work to do, but the kids are worth it. Featuring the adoption of numerous children, Smart Nana, adorably tuna fish, and some seriously needed smackdowns. Reborn is still kind of crazy. And he hates Checkerface. Nana likes Reborn. He can stay. The rest of you, you can go. Quickly.

Summary
Eventually, Viktor stops even trying. He'll reach for an orange and roll it about mindlessly on the table top for a few minutes as he thinks, or ponders a particularly challenging runic equation. He'll roll one of them back and forth between his palms as he stands at the chalkboard, eyes raking over their scrawled notes and diagrams. And sometimes, he simply grabs an orange out of their dwindling supply, and plops it next to Jayce's elbow without a word. In all cases, the wordless request is there; and every time, Jayce takes up the orange, peels it, and sets it back on Viktor's side of the table. Often--not always, but often enough--he'll get a quick smile from Viktor, a duck of his head in thanks, before he goes back to whatever he was working on or talking about.
Sometimes, he pushes the orange back to Jayce's side, and Jayce realizes that he has not in fact eaten yet that day.

Sometimes, peeling an orange is just peeling an orange.
Sometimes, it means something more.
