Summary
William’s hands came to rest on Sherlock’s waist comfortably as he shook his head. “A year of living together, and still I haven’t managed to improve your manners.”
The way those red eyes were watching him made Sherlock feel like he was being eaten alive and they had barely touched each other. How it had taken him so long to give in to this gravitational pull between them the detective had no idea.
He leaned in until their lips were almost touching, William’s lidded eyes all Sherlock could see as he spoke slowly. “You love my bad manners.”

“Of course not.”
Albedo couldn’t understand why this man was not more panicked.
“Why not?”
Kaeya looked at him with his customary smile, but the words that left him were far from the answer Albedo had been expecting. “I doubt that a small amount of some alchemical serum is going to be able to coerce me, of all people, into saying anything I do not wish to say.”
Albedo blinked, the smile slipped off Kaeya’s face and they sat across from one another in shocked silence. Truly Albedo had not doubted the serum’s effectiveness, his science was rarely wrong, but seeing it manifest… in Kaeya of all people. Archons, he needed to start saying no when the knights asked him for these sorts of things.

All those times he took expeditions that led him past Dragonspine, all the requests for alchemical ingredients far below his pay grade that he’d eagerly agreed to, the monopoly their picnics with Klee had on his days off. When was the last time he had spent a night at the tavern and not on the couch in Albedo’s office? Nodding off as the alchemist refined some concoction that he had explained about two dozen times but that Kaeya still barely understood.
“Archons… I… I think I’m an idiot.”
Klee gasped, “Kaeya you said a mean word!”

Sherlock leaned over his partner, his braid swinging over his shoulder as he rubbed a finger over William’s bottom lip. They had discovered that in moments such as this, when there was no other option, the two of them could drink from each other.
In Sherlock’s opinion, it was a small price to pay considering his hand in his lover’s current state. Yet still William looked up at him with a soft pained look, gently taking hold of Sherlock’s shoulders even while shivering from hunger. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
When he responded he spoke softly, caressing his lover’s lip with the pad of his thumb and speaking with complete honesty. “But I want you to.”

“Let’s make a deal,” he said smoothly. “You won’t tell anyone I was here. In exchange, I won’t tell your team physician about the emotional support pack of cigarettes in your pocket that you refuse to throw away. What do you say?”
Sherlock’s lips twitched. Oh, he’s good. Definitely more than just a pretty face. He threw his head back and laughed. “You’re incredible. I really like you.”
