“Techno, Techno look at me,” he demanded, roughly grabbing Techno’s face with his hands until he was forced to look him in the eyes. Tommy ignored the way the snow was turning red underneath his feet and the blood that trickled down his chin, instead pulling Techno downwards so their foreheads touched.
Techno was snarling and twisting to get out of his grip, sword abandoned to now dig his claws into Tommy's arms.
Tommy winced, but refused to waver. “Fight it, Techno! I know you’re stronger than this! I know it’s not your fault. And I’m here, I’m here to make it all better. Always.”

While the blood of his enemies make Techno more dangerous, the blood of his family calms him. Tommy is willing to use this information to help his brother by any means possible. No matter what that entails.

If his body ached, he couldn’t feel it. He was numb, just doing whatever Techno told him to do, deep into the night. He didn’t question if the training was unhealthy or if Techno’s methods on completing a jump “perfectly” were healthy either.
Because that’s how it was supposed to be. He wasn’t supposed to ask, he was supposed to skate.
