    Katara, in her final year of medical school, spends her time studying and working without having very much fun. That might change when she meets another workaholic named Zuko... Modern AU Katara/Zuko, with a sprinkling of the other members of the Gaang throughout.

     

    “This tea is delicious,” she says politely.

    “I didn’t make it,” Zuko says. “I’m not allowed to handle the tea.”

    “Not allowed?”

    Zuko flushes and rubs the back of his neck.

    “I told Uncle Iroh that tea was just hot leaf juice when I was a teenager and he’s never let me handle it since.”

    So when her recently single friend the Fire Lord invites her back for a visit and offers to take her out for an afternoon flight with his dragon, how can she possibly say no?

    She’s already missed out on her chance once before; there’s no way she’s making that same mistake twice. But Katara’s not the only one determined to settle things between them once and for all…
