Her shoes are muddy, which is strange, since it’s not rained in about four days, and the ground has had more than enough time to dry up. Even this far into the woods, the ground is dry enough that nobody would have mud on their shoes. And this woman doesn’t look like the type to own nor wear muddy shoes.
Nor does she look like the type to trek all the way through some mostly harmless woods. Not that Rio’s judging her or anything but it’s just…curious.
The tears start to dry on the woman’s face, and Rio does not miss the way her eyes flick to her neck, just for a second, before they’re back on Rio’s face. It’s almost unnoticeable.
Almost.

Logically, Agatha knows that it’s not aliens or some other form of extraterrestrial or paranormal phenomena. It’s all conspiracy. Fabricated. Something to make those nerds who bum in their parents’ basement feel some semblance of control in their lives. It’s not real.
And yet.
There is something very real out here in the middle of fucking nowhere, Oregon, that is killing these girls. That has the M.O. of leaving marks identical to these. Not to mention whatever the hell happened earlier in the car, where they lost almost ten whole minutes, yet it passed quite literally at the blink of an eye.

“That’s me,” Gloria confirms. “Who are you?”
Gloria knows who’s standing in front of her. She’s seen Barbie Handler’s face on one of the posters on the studio lot. She’s only the most famous actress in the world right now. And now she’s standing here, several inches taller than Gloria, so she has to tilt her head up a bit, perfect natural makeup and perfect long blonde hair falling to the middle of her back, pushing her curtain bangs out of her eyes with a perfectly pink manicured hand. There’s not a hair out of place. Literally. She’s wearing jeans, a shirt, and a blazer that Gloria knows costs more than she makes in a year, and that doesn’t even factor in the shoes and bracelets she’s wearing.
(Gloria won’t lie, she is a little intimidated, but not so much by the world famous actress in front of her, but by the work load she knows is about to lay ahead of her.)
Big blue eyes narrow, and there’s a crease in her brow and truthfully, for a moment, Gloria is a little stunned at how gorgeous she is.
But Gloria works with gorgeous people everyday; this is nothing new.
